Work with me.

Combining a long career in education with that of a cookery book writer, Becky Thorn started blogging at Mintcustard in May 2007 as a way to promote her cookery books.

Since then the focus of Mintcustard has changed to become a site that aims to share achievable recipes that anyone can recreate in their own kitchen, as well as a small number of product and restaurant reviews. Many recipes champion the use of leftovers and waste reduction. Baking features strongly too.

Mintcustard has a growing social media presence with  1300 twitter followers, 250 Facebook fans and a Klout Score of 61. EBuzzing currently ranks Mintcustard at 64 in UK gastronomy blogs. The blog itself has 1500+ followers.

Becky Thorn and her cookery books have been featured by publications such as Tesco Real Food, Saga Magazine, The Independent and the Daily Mail You magazine.

Becky has recently worked with large brands such as Tesco, Sainsburys, Kenwood, Knorr and Aldi.

Her freelance portfolio includes writing for Tesco Real Food, The Book People blog and creating a meal for the Heinz Weightwatchers range.

Speaking & broadcast experience includes discussing school dinners on Market Kitchen, Sky News, presenting at Food Blogger Connect, as well as regularly participating in local BBC radio broadcasts.

She has also appeared on BBC1 as a guest critic on Masterchef.

Becky is currently working on her fourth book.
